Why do we use games:

Games are the fun side of the Buddhist Youth Association. Skills and interests developed when young. It teaches self-confidence, independence, and the ability to get along with others. We learn through playing.

Games are an important learning tool in the Buddhist Youth Association. Games help one become a better citizen, build better physical fitness and character development. Games teach everyone to follow rules, to take turns, to respect the rights of others, to give and take, and to play fair. Some games help to develop skills, body control, and coordination. Some teach self-confidence and consideration for others.

For best result, follow these rules when conducting a game:

  • Never ask the players what they want to play.
  • Tell the players what the name of the game.
  • Explain the rules once or even two times so that everyone can understand.
      • To make it more interesting, you may want to announce about a prize for the winner or a course of action(s) for the losers.
  • If possible, play a trial run.
  • Play the game.
